A tab manager on the new tab page

AetherTab replaces Chrome’s new tab page. Open tabs stay in the left sidebar. Collections of saved pages sit on the right. That is the whole tab manager: keep a page, close the tab, and find the page again without leaving it open.

Save a tab, or the window

Drag one row from Open Tabs onto a collection card. AetherTab stores the title and URL, then closes that Chrome tab. Use Save Session when the whole window is one project. It creates a collection from the tabs that are open now.

Bookmarks live in the same place

This is also a bookmark manager for links you already have. Import Chrome bookmarks on this device, a browser HTML export, or a Toby JSON/TXT file. You review the proposed collections before anything is saved. Duplicate links are left out. Toby notes and tags are not imported.

Open the pages when you want them

Click a saved row to open that page. Open all tabs restores a collection in one action. Card search filters one collection by title or URL. Group by site folds several pages from the same domain into a folder on that card.

Where the tab manager keeps data

There is no AetherTab account. Collections and settings are stored with chrome.storage.local on this browser. Bookmark sorting runs on the device. Chrome Sync is off until you turn it on, and then it uses the Chrome profile you are already signed into. Sharing a collection exports its name, link titles, and URLs only when you ask for a share code or JSON file.

Weather is optional and separate from your collections. The privacy policy lists the permissions.

What it does not try to be

AetherTab does not host a team workspace, and it does not keep your tabs on an AetherTab server. A second computer sees the collections only if Chrome Sync is on, or if you export them. It is the wrong tab manager if you need a shared login for a group.
